Not only taking drugs but, singing about it too! Musicians are very respectful and disciplined and taking drugs should not be a part of their lifestyle because it will lead them into bondage. For instance, the word 'dope' is used differently today, however, back in 1920's dope was the name of a drug. Furthermore, I think the song effectively represents the feelings and life of a person who uses drugs.
